Dodoma, March 14, 2025 – The National Civil Aviation Security Committee (NCASC) convened in Dodoma for its 61st meeting, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss critical aviation security matters in Tanzania.
The meeting, chaired by Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) Director General, Mr. Salim Msangi, focused on various security issues affecting the aviation sector. Among the key agenda items was a presentation on the proper use of drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – UAVs), highlighting regulatory measures and operational safety.
As part of the session, committee members also conducted a site visit to the Msalato International Airport construction project, where they received updates on the progress and the security measures being incorporated into the facility’s development.
NCASC plays a crucial advisory role to the government on matters of aviation security, ensuring that Tanzania’s air transport system remains safe, efficient, and compliant with international standards.
