FORUM for Women in the Aviation sector in the country is gearing up to host a significant gathering of industry leaders to delve into various pertinent issues, such as fostering collaboration and empowering women in leadership roles.
Scheduled to take place on October 31, 2024, in the vibrant city of Dar es Salaam, the event will be complemented by a competition aimed at crafting a distinctive logo for the Women's Forum in the Aviation sector within the country.
Addressing the press at the venue of the Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) in Dar es Salaam today, Mrs. Maria Makala, the Forum's Chairperson, articulated that the primary objective of the assembly is to bolster cooperation and advance the leadership capabilities of women within the aviation domain.
"This gathering seeks to facilitate the exchange of experiences among women, construct robust social and professional support frameworks, and fortify collaborations among female leaders in the aviation sector," expressed Mrs. Maria.
In her dual capacity as the Director of Legal Services at the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority, she further elaborated that the event will offer a platform for diverse training sessions and seminars to empower women in augmenting their proficiency in professional and leadership domains.
"There will be a design competition for the creation of a logo representing the Women's Forum in Aviation in Tanzania. This competition is tailored for young females aged between 14 and 20 from all corners of the nation. By advocating for the inclusion of young girls in the aviation industry, the Forum remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing the next generation of female pioneers in this pivotal sector," Mrs. Maria emphasized.
