The Deputy Minister for Transport Hon. David Kihenzile (MP) has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the construction of the new Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC) campus at Banana, Dar es Salaam describing it as a strategic Government investment that will strengthen aviation training capacity in Tanzania and the region.

During an inspection visit, he was informed that the project has reached 20.01% physical progress after 11 months of implementation. The Deputy Minister was received on behalf of the TCAA Director General Dr. Jabiri K. Bakari by CATC Principal Mr. Aristid Kanje together with the TCAA Management team.

Hon. Kihenzile noted that the approximately TZS 78 billion project will provide modern training facilities to strengthen aviation skills development and enhance Tanzania’s position as a regional centre of excellence for aviation training. He also commended TCAA and all stakeholders for their commitment and urged them to maintain quality, transparency and timely completion of the project.
