TCAA FACILITATED A TWO-DAY CHINA DELEGATION VISIT TO TANZANIA
Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) has continued to show its capability not only as a Regulator of the Aviation Industry in the country but service provider as well, as it facilitated the two-day State visit to Tanzania of a Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Minister Wang Yi landed at new Geita airport located at Chato District in Geita Region at 17:19 hours, flew in with Boeing 737-700 series equipment on 7th January 2021 and departed on 8th January 2021 at 15:31 hours.
This follows commendable job done by TCAA team of experts from Directorates of Safety Regulation and Air Navigation Services who prepared the Aerodrome Data, Visual Approach Chart and RNAV (GNSS) Approach Procedures.
According to Tanzania Foreign and East African Cooperation minister Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, a Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi two-day visit in Tanzania meant to strengthen political and economic bilateral relations between the two countries.
The visit was part of Mr Wang’s five-day tour to Africa. During his stay he held talks with His excellency President Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli.
Minister Wang Yi with his delegation from China also held official talks with Tanzanian Government officials and launched a Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) college in Chato District and visited fishing areas on Lake Victoria.
Minister Wang Yi also witnessed the signing of a contract for the construction of the fifth phase of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) railway from Mwanza to Isaka with a length of 341km at a cost of TZS 3.00617 trillion.
