 INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR AIR AND GROUND HANDLING SERVICES LICENCES

Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) is a body corporate established pursuant to Section 29 of Civil Aviation Act Cap 80 (R.E 2020). The Act mandates the Authority to provide Safety, Security and Economic Oversight of the Civil Aviation Industry in Tanzania as well as provision of Air Navigation Services. The regulated services under the Authority are air transport services, aeronautical airport services (airside airport operations, ground handling, in-flight catering and aviation fuelling) and air navigation services.

Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) is a body corporate established pursuant to Section 29 of Civil Aviation Act Cap 80 (R.E 2020). The Act mandates the Authority to provide Safety, Security and Economic Oversight of the Civil Aviation Industry in Tanzania as well as provision of Air Navigation Services.

The regulated services under the Authority are air transport services, aeronautical airport services (airside airport operations, ground handling, in-flight catering and aviation fuelling) and air navigation services.

The Authority wishes to inform air operators, ground handlers and the general public that the TCAA Licensing Board shall be holding its Licensing Board Meeting on 2 June 2021. New applicants and operators whose licences are due for renewal between May and June 2021 or wish to vary their licences, are invited to submit applications as appropriate for consideration during the Board Meeting.

 

Applications for renewal of Air Service Licence shall be in accordance with Tanzania Civil Aviation (Licensing of Air Services) Regulations, 2006, including regulations 8 (3), 25 (3) and 25 (6) of the Regulations while Ground Handling Service applications shall be in accordance with regulations 6 and 7 of the Civil Aviation (Ground Handling Services) Regulations, 2012.

 

New applications for Air Service Licence shall be in line with regulations 8 (2) and 8 (3) of Tanzania Civil Aviation (Licensing of Air Services) Regulations, 2006 whereas new applications for Ground Handling Service Licence shall be in line with regulations 6 and 7 of the Civil Aviation (Ground Handling Services) Regulations, 2012.

 

Copies of the referred Regulations and application forms can be obtained directly from the Headquarters of Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority at the Aviation House, Ukonga – Banana or downloaded from the TCAA website, www.tcaa.go.tz

 

All applications, with relevant enclosures, including proof of payment of the relevant application fees, should be submitted to the undersigned by 15:30 hours on 2 April 2021.
