NCASC HOLDS 66TH WORKING SESSION ON STRENGTHENING CIVIL AVIATION SECURITY IN TANZANIA

The National Civil Aviation Security Committee (NCASC) held its 66th working session at the headquarters of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) in Dar es Salaam, where members discussed various issues aimed at strengthening aviation security in the country.

The meeting was chaired by the Committee’s Chairperson, Dr. Jabiri K. Bakari, who is also the Director General of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA). The session took place on June 24, 2026.

The role of the NCASC is to advise the Government on policies and strategies for enhancing civil aviation security, while also ensuring the implementation of international aviation security standards. Its objective is to safeguard civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference that could threaten the safety and security of air transport.
