BALANCE STAKEHOLDERS NEEDS FOR EFFECTIVE REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY; PROF. MBARAWA.

The Minister for Works, Transport and Communications Prof. Makame Mbarawa underscored the importance of Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) to balance its stakeholder's needs for effective implementation of regulation.

Speaking at the TCAA workers council launch in Dodoma, Prof. Mbarawa said the Authority is delegated with  responsibilities of ensuring safety and security of civil aviation therefore should create a favourable working environment for service providers, consumers and the government.

The minister responsible for aviation sector directed TCAA to execute enforcement measures against service providers violating law and regulations. "TCAA should take enforcement measures to those violating industry rules and regulations" he said.

He specifically expressed his   disapproval on airlines that have been cancelling the flights leaving the passengers stranded at airports warning that such laxity should not go unpunished.

Meanwhile Prof. Mbarawa, directed TCAA to ensure good communication between the management and staff members as a means to motivate them to work harder and become more productive. "Staff should be aware of the financial performance, challenges and successes of the organisation so that they can own them" says the minister.

He reminded the management team that, their validity and successes is built on

 good working  relationship with their subordinates whom they shouldn't mistreat .On the other hand staff were encouraged to work harder to justify good payment and other welfares

The minister for Works, Transport and Communications launched and opened the first workers council for TCAA which was created in March 2018.  Members met for two days from April 19 to 20 at University of Dodoma, in Dodoma.
